Just 90 minutes’ drive from Darwin is Litchfield National Park. Pack walking shoes and swimwear for an easy day trip to see several stunning waterfalls hidden in monsoon rainforest plus plenty of wildlife and bird species. Crystal-clear swimming holes and kilometres of bushwalk trails make Litchfield a popular destination.
An impressive sight are the many Magnetic Termite Mounds in the Litchfield region, some of which are 100 years old and two metres tall.
Join one of many day tours available from Darwin, or for those self-driving, Litchfield is easily accessible by car, and all roads into the main sites are sealed.
Access: Litchfield is an easy 90 minute drive from Darwin. A NT Parks Pass is required to enter Litchfield National Park.
